The Simon Nabatov Trio was formed in 2024 to record Nabatov's new pieces over four days in the Deutschlandfunk Chamber Music Hall. The collaboration went so well that the three musicians decided to continue performing together. Bassist Roger Kintopf and drummer Alex Parzhuber are a part of the younger Cologne scene, which has consistently produced new creative talent in recent years.

The band performs Nabatov's compositions written specifically for this constellation. The musical palette of the group ranges from lyrical chamber music to groovy stomps, and is extended through Nabatov’s use of live electronics.

The trio released recently their first recording on Bandcamp.
